Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details. When you create an account we store your email address and, optionally, a display name. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Your scenarios and protests. Boards, animations, and protest sheets you choose to save are stored so you can reload them on any device. They are tied to your account.
• AI analysis you request. If you use the AI rules analysis, the diagram images and incident facts for that request are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the analysis. We do not use your content to train models.
• Usage and advertising analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from — and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure how our advertising performs, such as whether a visit that began from an ad led to a membership. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies. Google may use this data to measure ad effectiveness and to show you SailBoard ads elsewhere (remarketing). We do not sell your data.

What we don't collect

We do not sell your data. Aside from the usage and advertising analytics described above, SailBoard does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone, and we do not build profiles from the content of your scenarios or protests.

When information is shared

• Shared protest replays. When you create a share link, that protest becomes viewable as a read-only replay by anyone who has the link. Only share links with people you intend to see the incident.
• Service providers.We use Google Firebase to host the app and store data, Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure site usage and advertising performance, and OpenAI to power the optional AI analysis. Your data is processed by these providers to deliver and improve SailBoard’s features.

Storage and security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure and is reachable only through our authenticated interface. We maintain backend access for maintenance and support; we do not review the content of your scenarios or protests except as needed to operate or troubleshoot the service.

Your control and deletion

You can delete any scenario or protest you have saved at any time. To delete your account and the data associated with it, contact us at support@sailboard.app and we will remove your profile and saved content.

Children

SailBoard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
